Angus Wall

ANGUS WALL is a two-time Academy Award, two-time Emmy and BAFTA Award winning editor and director, Wall is the founder of the Rock Paper Scissors Group consisting of the film and commercial editorial company Rock Paper Scissors, visual effects company A52, design and animation company Elastic and film and television production company Rock Paper Scissors Entertainment.

With an extensive background in art history and photography, Angus Wall’s eye for composition and art direction has contributed to his achievement in creating worlds and conveying stories through performance and imagery. Wall has directed Emmy award winning main title sequences for the HBO series Game of Thrones and Carnivàle as well as title sequences for The Leftovers, The Americans, Justified and Deadwood. Additionally, Wall has directed high profile campaigns for Nike, Apple, Google, Chevy, the NBA and ESPN’s X-Games.

Also an esteemed editor, Wall won his second Academy Award in 2012 for editing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which followed his first Oscar and BAFTA win for editing The Social Network the year prior. Wall was also nominated for an Academy Award for editing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

In 2015, Wall directed Emmy nominated ESPN 30 for 30 film, First Pitch, which covered President George W. Bush’s first pitch during the 2001 World Series following the 9/11 attacks. He also served as executive producer of the Oscar nominated Netflix documentaries Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight For Freedom, 13th directed by Ava DuVernay and the docu-series Five Came Back.
