Dan Braun

Dan Braun is the Co-Founder and Co-President of New York based sales, production and distribution company Submarine Entertainment.

Mr. Braun produced the documentaries Kusama-Infinity, Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict, Burden: the Story of Chris Burden and free jazz doc Fire Music. He has executive produced many documentaries including Kill Your Idols, Blank City, Sunshine Superman, Streetlight Harmonies, Patrolman P, RATS, I Called Him Morgan, Joan Jett: Bad Reputation, Pick of the Litter and Bill Wyman documentary The Quiet One, as well as documentary series Wild Wild Country and Evil Genius.

Mr. Braun is a producer’s rep and distribution advisor. He has been involved with the sale of many feature films and documentaries including Life Animated, The Witness, Blackfish, The Wolfpack, Citizenfour, 20 Feet From Stardom, The Overnight, Finding Vivian Maier, Best of Enemies, Searching for Sugar Man, Tiny Furniture, The Cave of Forgotten Dreams, among many others. Braun also heads the distribution label Submarine Deluxe whose releases include I called Him Morgan, Peggy Guggenheim Art Addict, Chasing Ice, Gilbert, Drug Lord, GMO OMG, Love Marilyn and Peace Officer among others.

Mr. Braun is also a writer and editor on the Creepy and Eerie comic book series and archival hardcover books at Dark Horse Comics. Braun won an Eisner Award for Best Archival Series for his work on the Creepy Archives.

Mr. Braun was formerly SVP/Creative Director on Absolut Vodka at TBWA Chiat/Day where he led the creative on the famous campaign for over 7 years and created some of the most iconic ads in history. Mr. Braun has won virtually every award in advertising for his work.
