Jordan Horowitz

Jordan Horowitz is an Academy Award nominated producer and the co-founder (with his wife, writer & director Julia Hart) of the film and television production company Original Headquarters. Jordan was a producer on La La Land, written and directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. At the 2017 Academy Awards, La La Land was nominated for a record 14 Oscars and won 6, including Best Director for Damien Chazelle and Best Actress for Emma Stone. La La Land was also awarded Best Picture at the Golden Globes, BAFTAs, PGA, and Critics Choice Awards. Lionsgate released La La Land in December 2016, and has grossed over 425M worldwide.

Additionally, Jordan was a producer on Lisa Cholodenko’s The Kids Are All Right, starring Julianne Moore, Annette Bening, Marc Ruffalo, Mia Wasikowska, and Josh Hutcherson. The film received 4 Academy Award nominations and won the Golden Globe for Best Picture.

Other recent feature credits include Fast Color, written and directed by Julia Hart and starring Gugu-Mbatha Raw, Lorraine Toussaint and David Strathairn, that premiered at SXSW 2018; Miss Stevens, written and directed by Julia Hart, starring Lily Rabe, Timothee Chalamet and Rob Huebel, that premiered at SXSW 2016, won a Special Jury Prize for Best Actress for star Lily Rabe, and was released by The Orchard in 2016; The Master Cleanse, written and directed by Bobby Miller and starring Johnny Galecki, Anna Friel, Anjelica Huston and Oliver Platt, which also premiered at SXSW 2016 and will be released in May 2018; The Keeping Room, written by Julia Hart and directed by Daniel Barber (Harry Brown) and starring Brit Marling, Hailee Steinfeld, and Sam Worthington; Matthew Weiner’s (Mad Men) Are You Here, starring Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis, and Amy Poehler; and the 2012 Sundance title Save the Date, directed by Michael Mohan, and starring Lizzy Caplan and Alison Brie.

On the TV side, Jordan is an EP on Counterpart, a show created by Justin Marks (The Jungle Book) and starring Academy Award winner JK Simmons. The first season of Counterpart is currently airing on STARZ and has been met with rave reviews; season two is currently in production. Jordan is a graduate of Northwestern University.
